Your guide to Fourth of July fireworks in Clearwater-St. Pete
Looking for July 4th events in Pinellas? We’ve rounded up all the Independence Day events and 4th of July fireworks happening in the St. Pete-Clearwater area this year, all updated for 2025.
We’re two local Pinellas moms and love doing holiday activities with our kids. After often getting frustrated by “local” lists that include the huge Tampa Bay region, we launched this site to help other families find information focused on Pinellas county.
We keep this list updated as we find more patriotic events so don’t forget to check back! And remember, always verify each event before you go: events can get canceled for weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Fireworks
Madeira Beach
TD Ballpark Dunedin Bluejays Game
The Dunedin Bluejays play the Lakeland Tigers on the July 3rd. After the game, they put on a fireworks show.
Dunedin Hometown USA
The event includes an opening golf cart parade, live music, a movie, concessions and fireworks.
St. Pete Pier Red White & views 5th Anniversary Celebration
This is a big event that includes live music, street performers, food vendors, family activities, a market, beer garden and a morning run. The fireworks are from the City of St. Pete.
They are also holding events on the 5th, including a jet ski show and live music.
City of St. Pete Fireworks
The city of St. Pete sets off waterfront fireworks that are visible from their waterfront parks, including: the St. Pete Pier, Albert Whitted Park, North Straub Park, South Straub Park, North Shore Park, Elva Rouse Park and Flora Wylie Park.
NOTE: The City of St. Pete hasn’t announced fireworks on their website yet but the St. Pete Pier website says they’re happening.
Clearwater Celebrates America
The event includes live music, games, and street performers throughout the park, food vendors and family activities. After the fireworks there is a silent disco. Before you go, don’t forget to check out our review of Coachman Park.
NOTE: Outside food and drinks are not allowed but you can bring in empty water bottles.
Safety Harbor Independence Day Celebration
The event includes entertainment, food vendors and things for kids to do before the fireworks
Largo 4th of July Fireworks
The event includes food vendors, live music and activities before the fireworks.
Treasure Island Fireworks
Their website also lists multiple addresses of public parking lots for viewing the fireworks.
Gulfport 4th of July Celebration (Cancelled)
Gulfport will not hold fireworks this year because of hurricane damage but will be hosting a parade and picnic

Safety Harbor 4th of July Parade
Dunedin Hometown USA Golf Cart Parade
A patriotic golf cart parade kicks off Dunedin’s July 4th celebration. The parade goes to the TD Ballpark where the rest of the event activities and fireworks take place.
Gulfport 4th of July Community Parade
Because of hurricane damage, Gulfport will be holding a modest parade and community picnic this year.

Tarpon Springs 4th of July Picnic in the Park
Sensory friendly: no fireworks permitted at this event
The event includes water slides, live music, food vendors, and a hot dog eating contest. No fireworks allowed at the event so its a good option for any families who need a firework-free event.
St. Pete Pier 4th of July Run
This is a 4-mile run or walk the morning of 4th at St. Pete Pier. There’s a costume contest and a pie eating contest after the race. Strollers welcome.
Gulfport Parade and Picnic
Because of hurricane damage, Gulfport will be holding a modest parade and community picnic this year.
Theme park Independence Day celebrations
Many of the nearby theme parks also do special fireworks and events for the Fourth of July. Here are some theme park events happening this year.
Busch Gardens
Busch Gardens celebrates 4th of July fireworks over 4 nights so you can enjoy the festivities without going on on July 4.
Legoland: Red, White and Boom!
Legoland will have extended hours for fireworks on July 4th, plus live entertainment, activities and themed treats.
Disney
In previous years, Disney has done a special fireworks celebration in place of their usual night fireworks show on July 3rd and 4th.
Epcot also has previously added patriotic fireworks and ambient lights to honor the holiday.
