Holiday Concert in the Park – Largo
📅 Saturday, December 16. 2-4pm
🕰️ I think the time will fly by so plan on being there the whole time.
💰 Free
Check out this fun event outside the Largo Community Center at 400 Alt Keene Rd. There will be live music, make and take crafts, hot cocoa and cookies.
Tip: This is a nice option if you are looking for a daytime activity because your kids aren’t up for enjoying things after sunset.
Harbor Holiday Nights at Folly Farm
📅 Thursday, Friday and Saturday Dec 14-16. 6-9pm each night. – Update Saturday night is cancelled due to the weather
💰 Overall Free, but $5 ages 3+ to ride the trolley
This weekend-long experience is put on by the city of Safety Harbor at Folly Farms.
There is a lot to do on location like campfire, s’mores (for sale), children activities at the candy cane forest, live music and craft vendors. The most anticipated part for most though is the trolley tour to the candy cane forest viewing holiday lights.
Parking Note: There is no general parking on site at Folly Farms for this event (only accessible parking). You can park at Cedar and Elm and take a free event bus over to the farm.
Tips: Trolley tickets are selling out for certain times, so get yours soon on this website!
Crystal Beach Christmas Golf Cart Parade
📅 Saturday, December 9. 7pm
💰 Free to watch
☁️ All outside so weather matters. I would keep an eye on the forecast, it might rain out.
The homey beach town of Crystal Beach has so many little events to offer. This one the residents have a golf cart parade.
Parade rolls at 7pm from Emily’s off Alt 19 down Crystal Beach Ave towards the park.
Tip: Sun sets at 5:38 on Saturday. I would go down just a little before then. Enjoy the sunset from the little beach by Live Oak Park or from the pier then stick around to watch the parade. Live Oak Park is the best parade viewing spot too.
Dunedin Golf Cart Parade
📅 Saturday, December 16 parade begins at 7:30
💰 Free to watch
☁️ All outside so weather matters
This annual community event brings in 100s of golf cart owners together for a tailgate block party at the VFW from 5-7pm where participates walk around and view each others decorations and the judges score the participates.
At 7:30 the carts roll. The route starts at the VFW goes through downtown and ends at Mease Manor.
Tip: There will be plenty of spots that aren’t too crowded so just walk down the route till you find a good spot, don’t settle for being packed in.
Bonus: I love that this parade ends at Mease Manor as the parade drives by giving them the chance to get to see this parade just outside their lobby door (or their window if they are so lucky to have a room on the correct side.) It warms my heart because some of these residents might not be able to go out to a parade as easily anymore that the parade comes to them.
Largo Train – The Rudolph Limited
📅 Saturday, December 16. 5:45-9:30pm
🕰️ I would leave at least 1 hour or two for the experience. The line might be long and you will want to walk around the displays at the park after.
💰 $10 donation encouraged
☁️ All outside so weather matters
This event puts together two amazing things… Largo Miniature Trains and Largo Central Park Christmas lights display!!!
Tip: Be sure to register with them online prior to arriving to save time. Register for Train
Winter Holiday Social at North Greenwood Rec Center
📅 Saturday, December 15, 4-6pm
💰 Free
📍900 N. MLK Jr Ave, Clearwater
☁️ Planned to be in the parking lot so rain ruins it. (waiting to hear if they move inside if it rains)
They boast a variety to Holiday activities such as to take pictures with Santa, Moon bounces, cookie decoration station, hot chocolate station
Treasure Island Boat Parade
📅 December 16. Parade begins at 6pm
💰 Free to watch
If you missed all the boat parades last weekend or have an itch for one more then here is your last chance in Pinellas this Holiday season.
Check out the website for the route, but there appears to be many good spots where they come near shore.
