Looking for somewhere to get a photo of your dog with Santa near Pinellas? We’ve got you covered. Here are the pet-friendly Santa photos in our area, updated for 2023.
We are two local moms that write about family-friendly things to do in the Clearwater-St. Pete area. We hyper-focus on Pinellas County to help you find local events easily (because we can’t be the only ones tired of those huge Tampa Bay area lists).
Today we’ve rounded up all the Santa Paws where you can get cute pictures of your pets and dogs with Santa this holiday season. We wrote all about where to meet Santa in Pinellas and realized there were so many pet-friendly options that the pets deserved their own list!

Can’t Miss Christmas Lights in Pinellas
PetSmart Santa Photos
PetSmart does annual free pet photos with Santa. The 2023 PetSmart Santa photo dates haven’t been advertised yet, but I called the Countryside PetSmart location to confirm that they are happening again this year.
The Countryside PetSmart pet Santa photos are happening on Dec 16-17 weekend. We’ll update this post if other PetSmart locations have different dates once they’re announced.
Countryside Mall Pet-Friendly Santa
The Countryside Mall Santa is nice for Pinellas pet owners since they have multiple pet photos with Santa sessions in November and December. Each Monday there are pet & dog photos with Santa.
Petco Photos with Santa
Petco is expected to host its 2023 Santa pet photos on Dec 2 per this corporate memo. I called the Palm Harbor location and they haven’t gotten word yet about pet Santa yet.
Tyrone Square Mall Pet Evening
Tyrone Square hasn’t announced details yet but if you visit their reservation page, you can filter by “pet-friendly” and find the Dec 10th evening event.
International Plaza Pet Santa Evening
International Plaza’s Santa shop does one evening of pet photos with Santa in Tampa.
Bass Pro Shops (Tampa)
The closest Bass Pro Shop is a bit of a drive in Tampa, but we included it because they are known for their great Santa set-up and being pet-friendly. Their store and their Santa are both pet-friendly!
I called the Tampa location to confirm that their Santa photos are pet-friendly. The person on the phone told me you can do pet and dog photos with Santa at any time, but to make a reservation before online.

The following events had pet and dog photos with Santa last year but have not updated their information yet for 2023:
- Dog Park: membership dog park & bar holds a Santa photo day (Facebook)
- Paws on Parade: dog parade, costume contest & dog pictures with Santa (website)
- Pet Supply Plus in Palm Harbor: two dates in past years to benefit a animal charity (Facebook)
- Florida Aquarium: previously held pup photos with Santa (website)
